A Little Jazz Chamber Music
Arts | Music
Deep in the below-stage bowels of Karmiel's smart cultural centre ('Heichel Tarbut') sits a dark, cosy bar named 'Diners' where patrons may schmooze away the freezing winter hours with wine and music.
On the menu this past Thursday was an edgy, eclectic fusion of international classics by composers ranging from Frenchman Maurice Ravel to Israeli. Yitzhak Yedid.
It all came courtesy of the Atar Trio, the highly regarded Israeli classical piano ensemble who, accompanied by percussionist Oren Fried, provided an exciting cross-over mix of classical-jazz with original arrangements by pianist Ofer Shelley.
I'd love to hear it all again!
