It looks like the same group of public spirited Israelis who last week helped to rescue 125 Afghani women from the clutches of the Taliban is now needed in Iran.
Soonest!
The country’s ‘My Stealthy Freedom’ women’s movement has posted a graphic video clip on social media showing police bundling a woman without the compulsory hijab (traditional head covering) into a prison van after arresting her using a catch pole designed to trap and restrain animals.
My Stealthy Freedom, an online movement, was founded in 2014 by Iranian-born journalist and activist, Masih Alinejad who is now a US citizen and has been the subject of an attempted kidnap.
The text accompanying the video clip on Facebook reads (without editing):
“Why none of the international media pay attention to the our struggle in Iran.
“Shocking!
“Police use a catch pole to snare women for the crime of not wearing hijab in Iran. They have used guns and bullets, baton charges, acid attack imprisonments and now catch poles, used to trap wild animals, to silence women”.
